Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is one of the most popular trekking trails in the Annapurna Region which offers you magnificent views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal and Manasalu Himalayas. It is one of the short treks in the Annapurna Region. Even beginner trekkers can manage this trek. Physically you don’t not need to be very fit for this trip. The main attraction of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is Poon Hill (3210 m) – a beautiful viewpoint for watching sunrise and a panoramic view of Himalayas. This trek is considered easy though there are a few challenging steep ups and downs. The scenery makes the trek worth doing. If the weather is favourable, you will have one of the best, memorable holidays of a lifetime. During the trip you will learn more about Nepalese culture and see the difficult conditions in which local people live in the mountains. Trekking in Nepal will definitely make your holiday more attractive. If you take the trip in the spring season the forest trail is even more attractive because of the blooming rhododendrons. Gurung and Magar tribe settlements are mostly found in this region. The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek starts from Pokhara after a 1.5 h scenic drive to Nayapool and it ends in a return trip on the last day of the trek.
