The Gokyo Trek via Everest Base Camp is one of the most interesting treks in the Everest region which covers most of the attractions. It is quite a demanding trek and physically you need to be in good shape. The Gokyo Trek via Everest Base Camp starts after 25 minutes of flight from Kathmandu to Lukla from where your hiking adventure begins. During this trip you can walk on different sides of the valleys and enjoy a panoramic view of the Himalayas and the sunrise both from a popular viewpoint Kalapattar (5550 m) and from Gokyo Ri (5360). The stunning view of the mountains, beautiful landscapes, monasteries, glaciers and amazing scenery make you feel the trek is worth doing. You will feel satisfied! First, the trail will lead you to the Everest Base Camp (5360 m) and then to Kalapattar (5550 m). After reaching these two popular must-see destinations, you will be taking the right side trail from Lobuche Base Camp towards Chola Pass (5368 m) and Gokyo Valley. Chola Pass can be a little bit more challenging part of this trip and trekkers are recommended to have crampons (available for rent). If the weather is bad sometimes we need to change the plan and take an alternative route via Phorste village to get to Gokyo Lake. From Gokyo the next morning we will be heading towards Gokyo Ri (5360 m) from where you can be sure to see a stunning view of the mountains and beautiful landscape
