The Everest (Khumbu) region is in the north-eastern part of Nepal. There are several trekking and climbing routes, as the highest mountain in the world is sheltered in the Everest region of Nepal. Mostly Sherpa people are living in the Everest region of Nepal, and it is a paradise for trekkers and climbers. Out of the fourteen highest mountains of the world, four of them are located in the Everest region, with countless snow-capped peaks. Depending on your interest, you can plan from a moderate shorter trek to the expedition to the highest peak of the world to Mt. Everest, Mt, Lhoste, Mt Cho Oyu, Mt. Makalu and several peak climbing to these stunning peaks Island Peak Climbing, Lobuche Peak Climbing and Mera Peak climbing in Everest region.  The region has the best charm for all adventure seekers, whether you are keen on knowing different cultures, trekking, climbing, or an expedition to eight-thousand-meter mountains.

Besides expeditions and peak climbing, there are numerous scenic routes for trekkers in the Everest region, and from moderate to difficult levels. Best time for trek in the Everest Region

Spring, from February to May, and autumn, from September to December, are considered the best times for planning a trekking trip in the Everest region. Now, the big challenge in the world is to predict the weather in the mountains as climate change is taking place. Over the last few years, when winter is passing without any snowfall and during spring, most of the time nowadays snow snowfall is taking place. While planning a trip in early autumn, sometimes the monsoon can stay longer, and it can influence your flight to Lukla and back, so you have to be ready to take the risk wherever you plan your trekking trip to the Everest region.

Permit Fees of the Everest Region Treks and Procedure

Trekkers need to have two permits - the Khumbu Pasang Lamu Rural Municipality entrance ticket and the Everest National Park entrance ticket, which cost Rupees 3000 each per ticket for international tourists and Rupees 1500 each for the SAARC nationalities.  The Everest National Park Permit can be obtained from the National Park office in Kathmandu or the check located at Monjo, and for the Khumbu Pasang Lamu Rural Municipality ticket can be obtained from the check post located at Lukla. All you need is to have your passport details with you and the mentioned fees to get the permits.
